Beatles Concert Poster 1966 Shea Stadium - Authentic, Not a Bootleg
http://www.postercentral.com The Beatles played New York's Shea Stadium on two occasions... in 1965, when they famously could have sold out the 55,000-seat ballpark 10 times over, and again in 1966, when in fact they didn't even sell it out once. Therefore, unlike the previous year, concert posters were created for the '66 show to help market the event and sell tickets. Both smaller cardboard and larger paper versions were created, and here we show a nice example of the latter. (Correction: the cardboard originals are smaller than the dimensions I mistakenly gave.) Hard to believe they once had to implore the general public that "Good seats are now available," but here you can see it in black & white (& yellow). Enthusiastically discussed by collector Pete Howard of PosterCentral.com (phone 805-540-0020, email email@example.com). And if you're into original Fab Four concert memorabilia, hop over to the rare Beatles concert poster gallery on my web site:
